teeth cleaning in regina and saskatoon

what is teeth cleaning?

Teeth cleaning doesn’t stop with brushing and flossing. Plaque and tartar accumulate that are unable to be removed with brushing and flossing alone. During a teeth cleaning, the dental hygienist uses a scaler and ultrasonic instrument to get rid of plaque and tartar around your gum line, as well as in between your teeth. The more tartar there is in your mouth, the more time they’ll need to scale a particular spot. Polishing of the teeth and an application of fluoride is typically also done during a dental cleaning.

why is teeth cleaning important?

Professional teeth cleaning is important to reduce inflammation and prevent periodontal disease which can result in significant bone loss and ultimately tooth loss.
